Do you set believable income goals

When I joined the internet marketing crowd I wanted to earn £15,000 instantly. Even though I ran an offline business and wasn’t earning that I heard all kinds of promises about sitting on the beach with my laptop within months and bought into it. Plus everyone kept running million dollar launches and they made products to tell me that was easy to do!
The thing I forgot was that these experts had been online for anything from 3 years upwards and I was just starting so it was an unrealistic expectation to have. I had read it could take up to 10 years to make a six figure monthly income but I didn’t want to buy into that either…. there was no way I was waiting 10 whole years!
If you are new online I encourage you to set yourself believable income goals. Put a realistic figure in your diary that says by X date I want to be earning X amount and then decide how you are going to do it.
What’s “realistic” – well only you can answer that question. No expert ever has the right to tell you what you should/should not see as a believable income goal. This is the time more than ever when knowing yourself, your ability and what you can achieve is important. If you don’t believe you know what a realistic figure is then go back to basics and work on self-belief.
Another way is to take a look at what you sell online, the potential income you can generate from selling them and the possibilities of how many you can sell in a month. So if you know you can sell 10 of something at £29.00, 4 of something else for £97 and 8 of something else for £67 then you will know that you will earn £1,214.00 for one month.
All you do then is go about making it happen and to keep going until you sell 10 of your £29 product and 4 of your £97 product etc…. it’s not rocket science.
Working it this way will also help you to stay focused on what you will be working on selling during one month. Remember this is just the selling aspect of your business. You still need to spend time on product development, business building, training and learning, meetings, teleseminars and other parts of your business.
Don’t you just love working for yourself
