Success University has a fantastic business opportunity but I’ve never really made use of it to it’s full potential but what I love are the courses, they are fantastic. You get access to over 150 of the best self help minds on the planet. Every day I can log in and enjoy motivation, inspiration and an injection of personal growth whenever I want to. The only thing missing for me are more spiritual based courses but with the number of new pastors and ministers joining I’m sure it won’t be long.
There are several categories under which are a large range of courses including communication, family, financial, health & fitness, motivation, sales etc etc. I tend to make use of the courses under the headings of financial, motivation and personal development. There are so many great ones included that I haven’t had a chance to explore any of the other categories yet!
Below are the top six that I listened/read/watched in 2008 and not just once either!!!!

If you are currently going through a setback giving up is the worst thing you can do because this setback could be your setup for a come back.
Willie Jolley talked about via video what kind of people succeed so you can understand what you need to do to keep going. Listening to Willie made me realise that 2008 was all about a setback and 2009 will be my comeback as long as I am determined to keep going because at the time I logged in I was about ready to give up and get myself a full-time job. This one video set me up to continue on my path.

It was the heading that attracted me to this video because I love talking about being fabulous! This audio laid out why you might have a fear of being as fabulous as you could be!

I realised I had hit upon something when I started reading this information and it started with a few typical sub texts about people and how we view money. I recognised mine immediately. My underlying conversation for spending is “I know if I take one more chance I will hit the jackpot and have everything I ever wanted” There were a few others that people typically say and Jordan has created a way for you to identify what your money type is and how you can master it.

Make Your Money Work For you – Vanessa Summers
A wonderful human being who empowers women and couples to be wealthy and successful in any economy, in any market, at any time in order to attract more abundance, make more money and work smarter. I only found this audio this month so have only listened to it once but it’s amazing and I will be listening to it again and again during 2009. Vanessa believes that wealth is important because the more you have the more you have to give to the world in every possible way. She also talks about the fact that in every economic change there is an opportunity to make money and that we are all programmed to react to money in a certain way and we need to overcome that to avoid coming back to the same result.
The great thing about all of these courses and all the others available through Success University is that I can listen to them over and over again. It’s repitition that makes a difference to keep us motivated and uplifted. If you are looking to change your life in 2009 I definitely recommend Success University. It’s funny how easy we think it is to resist our own destiny rather than go for it!
I typed that line in an email I was sending today

I was talking about my on again off again journey with stepping forward to have my book published and to begin spreading the word of how joyful life can become when we take the time to discover the greatness within and spend time developing a relationship with God (or Source).
I have been one of the most stubborn advocates of that by continually moving away to do work that I decided was best for me and not thinking about Gods plan for my life, but the thing is it never went away. From the moment Inspirational Guidance came to life in 2000 and then I found my souls purpose of discovering greatness my calling has been to share this with the world but I’ve resisted.
The resistance came from not knowing how to share it, what to do, not wanting to be out there talking about it. The insecure child in me doesn’t like being looked at and doesn’t want to do it…… and yet there is a greater part of me that keeps getting called back. This is in my blood and I truly believe it is what God has planned for me.
There are 24 hours left of 2008 and I made a promise to God in April 2008 to do whatever he asked of me and in the last few days he has revealed His plan to me about what I need to do next about getting my book out into the world, which has excited and scared me all at the same time.
Discovering Greatness Experiencing Joy is about my journey towards self realization that I will share with you. It’s about how ultimately destiny will always call you no matter how much you resist and most of all it will be about how easy we think it is to resist our own destiny rather than go for it!
Because the book is about my own journey towards self realization I have to go through it in order to write about it and from the plan that was revealed I realized that I already have experienced a great deal of it and I am on the final part ….. being able to bring into reality everything I desire by thought, faith and action. This is the part I will focus on mastering on a consistent and regular basis. Manifesting what I intend not what life throws at me!
To help me with that I am re-listening to the Science of Getting Rich (which starts on this blog from January 1st 09) and I am also thinking about recording The Master Key by Charles Haanel which is a book in public domain (which means anyone can use it.) I am going to look at putting it on audio and breaking it down one chapter at a time. The Master Key is the book that inspired the movie The Secret and is all about the law of attraction but I prefer to call that the manifestation of our intentions.
Your intentions are powerful. What you intend to bring into your life through your thoughts will always appear so intend great things for yourself.
My desire for you as we leave 2008 and start 2009 is that you receive everything you desire so think positive and dream big.
I want to leave you with the words of Dr Wayne Dyer from his EXCELLENT book “The Power of Intention” and I leave them for anyone who has a desire they have yet to see fulfilled.

The Power Is In Your Hands
One of the things I said alot in the past is
“This book changed my life”
Eventually I realized that when I said that I was putting all of the power into the hands of the book. It wasn’t actually the book that changed my life but my willingness to make changes and take action. By naming the book as the thing that changed my life I wasn’t praising myself for what I had done.
I soon changed that to “I changed my life by reading this book”
Which then puts the power firmly in my hands because I did the work necessary to make the changes.
Now of course I realise that it’s not me alone. God plays a big part in helping me to change my life but again I still put emphasis on the fact that it is with God’s love, guidance and support that my life changes.
If I went around believing that God changed my life that would mean when things got tough that I will also believe that God is making life difficult for me – which of course is not true.
Remember at all times YOU are the driving force that is behind how your life is turning out and the books, seminars, CDs and everything else including God are there to support you on that journey.
Part of discovering greatness is taking full responsibility for your life and your current circumstances. Sometimes things happen that we have no control over and at the hands of other people. I understand that but it’s our reaction to it and how we choose to let it impact our life that matters most and that is something we do have control over.

What Is Self Realization?
There are two terms I use on here that I wanted to explain so that you have a clear understanding of where I am coming from. They are self realization and personal growth.
What is Self Realization?
My definition is that self realization is the step that happens after personal growth. It’s the ultimate ending and yet the very beginning because we reach a very important time in our life when we not only understand intellectually about our very nature being spirit and our need to return to Source but we actually use it experientially – in other words we learn by LIVING it.
We allow God to guide us and spend more time in a state of constant love and joy. It’s one thing to understand that God can provide us with everything we desire (intellect) it’s a completely different thing to actual use that understanding so that everything you desire actually SHOWS UP in your life (experiential)
I hit the moment of self realization when I realized that I was spending my life searching for something and I was actually searching for myself. Of course I went on to deny it for a few more years because I’m stubborn like that and when I re-connected I did so powerfully, this time including an intimate relationship with God. My experience turned to pure joy.

What Is Personal Growth?
Personal Growth is the step before self realization when we are learning about who we are.
How our inner world plays a part in shaping our outer world.
Our purpose for being here.
The games we play that keep us stuck.
Our limiting beliefs and the way we control others.
Our thoughts and how they impact our life and experience.
It’s about self improvement. Improvement of our own self. Many times doing this alone (without God)
Its a process of identifying and healing what isn’t working so that we can continually grow and transform our current way of thinking, feeling and behaving to something more empowering.
It’s about finding our untapped talents and bringing them forth into our lives so that we can enjoy a more creative, spiritual and fulfilled life.
When we don’t grow or improve on who we are it’s easy to stay stuck, unhappy and unfulfilled. Many people die that way.

Years of personal growth helps you to connect to your inner self and many people then begin a spiritual journey. It’s the spiritual journey that leads you onto an understanding of the awesome power of the universe (or formless substance as Wallace D Wattles from the Science of Getting Rich likes to call it) which naturally leads on to self realization.
Remember this is my own personal definition of what self realization and personal growth is and I write from this perspective. There is no one way or right way to explain what is a very personal experience. Personal development is about the development of a person and we are all very different so it will mean different things for different people.
When I started my spiritual journey I read something very powerful from Iylana Vanzant which was “Find Your Own Interpretation of The TRUTH”
I invite you to do the same. Don’t take on everything I say and believe it. Use what feels right for you and discard what doesn’t. This is your personal journey of self discovery and no one can tell you how that should turn out.
In all of this remember. Our journey is not a straight path. We can slip off our path and have to correct ourselves to get back on it.
I fell off my path in a major way in 2006 until April 2008 when God whispered in my ear “You don’t think that what you are doing now is really what you are supposed to be doing do you?” – at that time I was on a quest to make money on the web.
I had forgotten myself spiritually and went in the pursuit of money. I had left Inspirational Guidance behind and it’s purpose of empowering women to find passion and purpose. I stopped connecting with Source and lived in my head where I planned mentality what I wanted to do. My plans didn’t work out and it put me in the worst position of my life and yet the best because (to quote Willie Jolley) I realized that this set back was a setup for a comeback!
God reminded me that he had a plan for me and now here I am doing His work.

The ability to fully automate your business frees up your time to do other things
I remember buying a product last year and the owner sending it to be by email saying thanks for ordering. It struck me that either he obviously doesn’t sell many of his products or he spends a lot of his time sending emails to his customers!
I can’t imagine why anyone would want to spend their time on such an important and urgent task. As soon as I buy a product I expect access to it so he must have to keep checking his email account for potential sales.
Another big time sucker is having to sort out the different sequence of events. You know …. set up a site, add a payment button, upload the product, make sure everything is linked…. the list goes on and on.
If you are thinking about online business building then right next to that phrase should be the word automation. Automated online business building is the only way to build your businesses and be comfortable enough to leave them to get on with collecting payments and delivering your product. That’s why I adore membership sites. Once they are up they do everything automatically.
Now, even when I am only selling one product like my special report My Internet Marketing Mistakes. I still find it easier to set up a membership site and sell it through that because I know it means at any time I can add additional content (which I have done) for my customers.
Automation is the key to success. Without it you will spend alot of time having to do things manually, which means you need to be working in your business instead of on it!

The activity on my blog has started to pick up because I abandoned it between July-December 08 (started again around Dec 18th) so that I could go on a quest to find my life and it’s true purpose (or at least make sure I was still on the right path!) and that little journey took 10 months out of my life when I went from…. yes I want to do this back to no I don’t and yes I do again!!!
The end result was I am sticking to what I am trained to do which is personal development and be over here at Blogger-dom giving praise to master bloggers and talking about my own journey towards the Kingdom of the Master Blogger.
Anyways, during those 10 months the one thing that continued to come through the door and into my paypal account were affiliate commissions. Payments for products that I had sold online. Now it wasn’t enough to pay all the bills but it was regular income without me doing anything and in 2009 I will definitely be doing more of it.
I only recommend what I have used – which is a little limited in one sense but I would hate to recommend something for the money and then find out it’s crap! So I stick to what I have used and/or people I respect online are selling.
The other great thing about affiliate commissions is that I don’t have to do anything to deliver the service. I like to do as little as possible so that suits me. Even on this blog I recommend three great products.

and finally the guys over at Membership Millionaire because their information on how to succeed with your own membership site just can’t be beaten plus I LOVE their membership software called Memberspeed that I use for my membership sites.
I recommend them. People buy them. I get paid and I don’t have to do much else. It’s a great life. Of course the real money comes from having your own product and your own set of affiliates…. but then so does the real work
Create Your Own Blog Themes with Artisteer
I am, right now as I type, downloading a demo version of a piece of software called Artisteer. Its a program that allows you to create your own blog theme for Wordpress.

It even has it’s own inbuilt problem analyser and the really great news is if you have a lazy teen sitting round doing nothing at home you can get them designing templates for you! It’s under $50 for a home edition and just under $100 for the more advanced edition.
