Create Your Own Blog Themes with Artisteer

I am, right now as I type, downloading a demo version of a piece of software called Artisteer. Its a program that allows you to create your own blog theme for Wordpress.
“With Artisteer YOU immediately become a Web design expert, editing and slicing graphics, coding XHTML and CSS, and creating Web design templates and Wordpress themes – all in minutes, without Photoshop or Dreamweaver, and no technical skills.”
You don’t need any particular skills in html, css or even using photoshop because everything is done from within the software. It even has it’s own inbuilt problem analyser and the really great news is if you have a lazy teen sitting round doing nothing at home you can get them designing templates for you! It’s under $50 for a home edition and just under $100 for the more advanced edition.
Take a look at http://www.artisteer.com/?p=home
If I think it’s amazing I will write a review and if not you won’t hear from me again

I take it from your resounding silence that the software wasn't amazing?
Give a girl a change (hehe). I downloaded it and haven't even installed it yet but it's on my list to do so will get to it soon because I might need it myself to create a few “exclusive” themes!

Well I tried and I decided it wasn't worth me spending energy on this. You can buy a premium wordpress them for as little as $30 upwards and it would take hours to work this out.
I guess it was created for web designers – or maybe I am just not patient enough. But when I take my hourly fees and multiple it by the number of hours I will spend trying to figure this out its quicker for me to just buy one!
I did like the idea of having a one off very exclusive theme but then I thought am I more interested in looking pretty or making money…. a question I ponder every day as I sit here in my grey baggy jumper and pajama bottoms
I promise I am not responding to your article as an attempt to promote my shop
I have been checking out the Artisteer program and I do have to agree with you that it takes some time to figure out and even longer trying to put your template together….. but at the same time I discovered there was some “fun” elements to playing around with the program. I personally think however that the program is a little too overpriced for what they are asking for it…. and what is even worse is that after you buy the program you can only use it for a year and then you have to pay upgrade fees if you want to continue using it. I’m very torn about whether or not to buy Artisteer. I think it’s an ok program but I don’t like that you have to pay the upgrade fees after a year.
